Sketch Artist

Award-winning creative agency seeks highly experienced Sketch Artist.

We’re an advertising design firm with major entertainment and lifestyle clients. We like dogs and breakfast and new bands and great art. Our team is highly skilled but down-to-earth, eager to create the best work while still having a good time, and accustomed to always being under a deadline.

You’re an incredible sketch artist with a background in human figures and life drawing. Accustomed to working under a tight deadline, you excel at prioritizing and paying close attention to the details. You’re a multi-tasker who’s highly motivated and able to work independently.

What you’d do:

• Create rough blocked-in sketches using mainly pencil and computer software

• Sketches created are mostly human figures and life drawings

• With approval, generate final sketches as directed by the creative team for client presentations

• Confer with art directors and designers regarding the nature and content of artwork to be produced

• Utilize provided reference/scrap and assist in finding scrap (as needed), to develop accurate likenesses of actors, environments, props, etc

• Accurately capture specific expressions, emotions and moods

• Create preliminary blocked-in sketches for approval

• Incorporate changes as necessary through final approval

• Research and contribute ideas as part of the process

• Keep current on trends and technology in the discipline

What you need:

We’re looking for the best of the best! We need someone with a strong background in human figures and life drawing, with an intermediate to advanced understanding of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Someone who is driven and able to meet tight client deadlines. Someone with a bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year university in Fine Arts (or a related field) as well as 2 or more years of professional experience.
